Welcome to my portfolio!  Since you are here, thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better.  My name is Jamie Rocco.  I have a bachelor's degree in Media & Communications with a minor in Science, Technology, and Society.  I am a navy veteran, vegetarian, and videographer.  What you'll find throughout this portfolio is the culmination of the 5 major learning objectives a student will encounter throughout their journey within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences and how I personally interacted with and grown from them.  These objectives are: Collaboration and Shared Leadership, Critical and Creative Thinking, Diversity and Equity, Interdisciplinary Research and Inquiry, and Writing and Communication.  You will also find a handful of secondary video projects I've put together in my spare time.  You may navigate these works in the menu option at the top of this page labeled "more".

The significance of my education is, in many ways, immeasurable.  Like all educational institutions, there are assignments and tests that are used to measure one's academic prowess with a number or scale but this isn't what the student takes with them.  My time in higher education has given me the tools to think critically, the language to speak eloquently, and the confidence to make meaningful contributions to any environment I may find myself in.  College, the military, employment, and life experience have all contributed to my ever growing thirst for knowledge.  The more I come to know, the more I learn how little I truly know.
